Last 10 presidents. Top marginal tax rate and the income required to enter that top rate.

Fake news.

Don't forget the report from a few weeks ago that said Trump would be in favor of a tax hike on those making $1 million or more.

Probably a realization as a country, we will never be able to pay down our debt. I read there are about 200,000 people who are in this tax bracket. Back of the envelope on the 2.5 million number is 14.7 billion dollars which is a low side number. Let's say it raises another 50 to 75 billion a year. We have a 37 trillion dollar deficit. Trump won't be the president to tackle the deficit.

I damn well hope they legislate something positive while they have the majority. They haven't done shite in Congress so far, it's all been executive orders.

The M1 money supply is $18.5 trillion.

The federal government debt is $37 trillion.

Then you have to include all the personal debt, mortgages, loans, etc. There is just not enough cash circulating around to pay off the debt.

How did we get here? Rehypothecation.

Are you trying to argue semantics??? No, it wasn’t a direct quote but this is.

“Or maybe he doesn’t want the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he’s paid nothing in federal taxes, because the only years that anybody’s ever seen were a couple of years when he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a casino license, and they showed he didn’t pay any federal income tax,” she said.

“That makes me smart,” Trump said.

Pay their fair share. Bernie should like this but may argue the increase needs to be pushed down the brackets. Who reduced that 37% bracket to begin with?

The funny thing about that statement is that they do already pay their "fair share.

He should publicly push for this years DOGE cuts to be refunded to taxpayers. Then next year tell Johnson and Thune to make the cuts permanent in law, tell them every day, every meeting.
