I actually agree with him here. Some players in the Middle East (famously Israel) have gotten out of control, acting like they have carte blanche to destroy civilian targets in Lebanon, including schools, hospitals and places of worship.

Iran already has short and medium range ballistic missiles. If the euros don’t want them to have long range ballistic missiles, maybe they should have done something about it. Trump is fricking with the Weaselie Euros.

I think he was trying to tell Macron that since every other country in the middle east has ballistic missiles aimed at and capable of hitting France, it would be unfair if Iran wasn't also allowed to have such missiles aimed at and capable of hitting France.

In all likelihood, it was a shot at Israel or the EU as others have mentioned.
When you consider that Trump is trying to get a peace deal while one of our supposed allies refuses to play along, it really makes a lot of sense.
You guys really shouldn't let "your heads explode" over Trump's comments. Most of the comments people fret about never amount to anything in the real world, so it's pointless to get all worked up over them.
