Yeah because the Republicans and Democrats have done such a great job these past 3 decades
Arkansas has easily carried red every election since Jimmy Carter except when Bill Clinton ran. I knew Trump would easily win Arkansas, it's not a swing state.
An extra Trump vote wouldn't get any extra EC votes. It's all or nothing.
So I should have voted for Hillary? No thanks.
This board needs blind allegiance to Trump. You are not allowed to think or reason with your vote. That gets you accused of "melt"ing or being a "cuck". No exceptions can be made.

Just because there are only 2 viable parties doesn't mean you have to support one or the other. Neither party represents their constituents. That's why people are/were excited about the "swamp" being potentially "drained."
The problem is there are too many people like yourself who believe "If my side just had more members in Congress things would get fixed." They DGAF about fixing things for everyday Americans.
See the healthcare bill for exhibit A. Seven years of planning to repeal the ACA and look congress is playing grabass despite having a republican majority.

Who did you vote for as independent?

"these people"
And who the f@ck ever claimed "high ground?"
I voted anti DC(Trump I hope) cause I think the money/IC state are coercing our democracy.
Screw anyone who thinks anyone who voted Trump is delusional. Voting for the same party candidates and expecting new results is the shinning definition of "Insane."

Clinton carried Arkansas because he was the hometown boy.
Bill Clinton - 505,823 George H. W. Bush - 337,324 Ross Perot - 99,132
Even if all Perot voters here had voted for Bush, Clinton still would have won Arkansas.
That's one state, Bush would have won a 2nd w/out Perot in the race

Interesting. In order to arrive at that conclusion, you must have a criteria for what makes up "high ground".
What does that criteria consist of? Just curious.

This stuff only resonates for the shrinking minority of Trump fans. Team Trump has lost all credibility. They are the fakest of news.

Mocking someone for voting for anyone other than Trump. It's pretty basic stuff.

I thought he might say something about his failing healthcare and infrastructure bills. I guess his vendetta against the press is a nice distraction for Trumpkins.

You're confused. That wasn't the question..and your response is not an answer, it's just a logical fallacy.
The question..which was initiated by your claim of people who disagree with your political view have no "high ground". I asked for a definition of what..in your mind..constituted "high ground".
Pretty basic question.

Is this your way of blaming the 1992 election on "muh 3rd parties"?
2016 was the first year I voted 3rd party. I always believed voting 3rd party was throwing your vote away. Now that I'm older I realize that voting for the status quo is truly throwing your vote away.
"Draining the swamp" is just this year's "Hope and Change".

Only goes to prove that the only good thing to come out of Arkansas is the Mississippi River!
Your Arkansas election results DO NOT disprove my contention that voting 3rd party candidates is just sophomoric political masturbation. It may feel good, any child can do it, but it accomplishes nothing! The Perot vote was critical in enough states, other than Arkansas, so that Clinton, with only 43% of the vote won an EC landslide of 370 votes.
So now that you have proven that your vote is irrelevant, what other non factor candidates do you endorse?

High ground is an expression to describe the act of looking down upon others for something.
Like mocking someone for voting for a certain candidate.
This is basic stuff that I wrongly assumed you understood. I won't make that mistake again. My apologies.

Other great moments in history brought to you by 3rd party candidates:
The Civil War! Most of a million dead Americans can't be all that bad?!
The retarded post WW I peace plans of Woodrow Wilson! Without him, the Great War wouldn't have needed a name change!
