When it comes to works, I think its important to know the “why”? And for me , the works needs to done as a service to Jesus.

Like we are to know good from evil, we are to separate ourselves from the children of darkness, and that people doing certain things will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
But if you would judge yourself you wouldn't be judged.

There's still a designed order though, a sequence to how these things must occur. Marriage exists. Sex exists. God says marriage is good. God says sex is good. God says sex before marriage is not good. Sometimes, it's not the things but the order and context in which those things are done that dictate if they are pleasing to God.
It's the same with works. If you are saved and truly trust in Christ's atonement for your salvation, good works will follow as a natural occurrence of your renewed heart. God, however, will not be tricked and attempting to compile good deeds without accepting the only way to salvation, which is Christ, makes those what would be good works no longer good because they have become an idol of sorts. You are trusting in your works and salvation has effectively become payment you expect from God. Order matters.

I do believe Trump feels like a higher power saved his life last July. And it was for a reason. Even with all his faults and arrogance, I truly believe he takes that event seriously and it is driving him differently this term.

I’m not making any assumptions.
I’m just pointing out the difference between works alone versus works done in service to Jesus.
As an extension of this- there are agnostics and atheists who believe in good works as a service to mankind and it stops there. They can be charitable just the same as a Christian can be charitable but the “why” is different.
So I believe that works without faith is hollow and, for that matter so too is faith without works.

Lies. He cut them off from poisonous junk food. He isn't harassing the homeless. Go ask the homeless in DC they are happy to see the national guard, they say they are safer. Statistics show they are safer. Stop believing the one liner lies you are being fed.
