...then go after the deep pocketed cartels who ushered them in. File a civil suit in Texas, get a judgment (probably by default), then go after wherever they have assets.

Depending on your source, there are between 11 million and 30 million illegals in this country. The vast, overwhelming majority of them aren't going anywhere.
ICE is averaging about 4000 per week. That comes to an estimated 208,000 per year. If Trump deports 1 million in 4 years, consider that a success. He absolutely, positively will not deport the "millions and millions" he promised he would deport. Mass deportations simply won't happen, but he has his flock convinced they will.

Something has been done about the border. It's been shut down. Personally, I didn't expect anything else. I knew this mass deportation talk was all bullshite from the start, but MAGA glommed onto it as though it would actually happen, and still do.
This "mass deportation" lie is just one more example of the bullshite Orange Muhammad's disciples will find a way to forgive.
Donald Trump has three directives. Shut down the border (so far, so good). Keep us out of corporate foreign wars (we'll see about that one) and don't frick up the economy (snort laugh).

I'm assuming this is either so we can seize their assets without libs crying, or so they can't come back legally due to fines owed.
