If Mexicans are "self deporting" (chuckles) their numbers are so low, they can't yet be measured.

So any claim to either it is happening or it is not happening has to taken on faith.

Can't be measured.

Something has been done about the border

If congress wasnt so corrupt they could pass legislation to force these aliens back.

1. Zero welfare for any non citizen
2. No healthcare or schools for anyone here illegally
3. $1,000 a day, per illegal fine charged to any business who employs an illegal.
4. $1,000 a day fine to any banking institution (including wire transfer places like western union) that transfers money for anyone in the country illegally.
5. $1,000 a day fine to anyone who rents a home or apartment to anyone here illegally.

If you make it impossible for them to exist here they will go home.

To be quite honest, I’d sort of expect illegal aliens to not have a ton of wealth to extract.

Anecdotal story time:

10 years ago, my church sold our primary church buildings, as we moved to a campus on the other side of a highway. So that property is aways visible. It was sold to a Hispanic church, with many being illegal [from what we are told]. Up until 5 years ago, their vehicles were used, over 15 years old. Nothing wrong it -- I drive a 20 yo truck myself.

Today, almost every vehicle (+100) are what we would consider new. Almost all < 5 years old. Gone are beaters, the smoke generators, etc.

It's been great to watch for them even if it seems many of us are being left behind.
