What crop is feasible to grow when some countries are subsidizing their farmers to grow it?

What difference does that make? The reasons for it being economically unfeasible are varied. Might be cheaper labor, might be climate, might be government subsidies. Why do we need to take action for government subsidies but not the other factors?

We don't grow a lot of tea here because it's cheaper to import. Should we be putting tariffs on tea so all tea is as expensive as tea grown here?

We don’t grow tea here because we don’t have the climate suitable to do it
Same with coffee and bananas

What crops should we grow in LA in your opinion?

Excuse me if someone has already pointed out that Obama “loaned” the automakers money, and they paid most of it back... 70 billion of the 80 billion, with the remaining 10 billion written off as a good investment for keeping the jobs here and all the taxes generated and not having a major corner of the American economy collapse and just be gone.

But we do grow tea here. It ain't cheap but you can buy it if that sort of thing is important to you. It's not that important to most Americans.

Back to the point, why should we subsidize/protect raisin production but not other crops or products?

But when other countries subsidize their products on the open market, our farmers can not compete. They are cheaters
You mean like dairy farmers and sugar farmers?

Seems pretty smitten.

There are 100000 acres of raisins grown in the US
100 acres of tea

Tell me which ones are a niche

But don’t Family owned farms account for over 90% of farms in the US?
