re: Trump tells the UK to “go get your own oil”; the “USA won’t be there to help you”

In my opinion, Trump's saying this lends credence to reports that this Iran campaign was poorly planned. If there was any chance at all, you would need allies like the UK, France, etc to help do something, then you get them on board BEFORE you frick shite up. That doesn't mean you necessarily have to tell them details of the attack - but you show some degree of respect for people you might have to ask for support.

It is incredibly obvious that the Trump administration was dragged into this war rather than they explicitly planned it. This feels like a situation where the tail wagged the dog, and now the dog is trying to get back in control of the situation.

Sounds like the WSJ story has some legs.
Progressives wishcasting for failure is something everyone should be used to by now.

It's funny, if one took a shot everytime someone in this thread stated an opinion with "it is incredibly obvious", one would be well into alcohol poisoning by now. It's especially funny how many of these "incredibly obvious" posts contradict a different posters "incredibly obvious" post.

lol
They are weak countries with extremely weak leadership. Trump was right in going at this alone IMO. That is like telling the dems his plans beforehand.
It's funny though because many of the naysayers didn't want a nuclear Iran, yet when someone actually does something about it, you cry.

quote:I don't think there can be a functional multi-polar world if one of the poles, China, has aspirations to be the hegemon. China believes it is their destiny to be the global hegemon. The only two countries capable of being the hegemon are the US and China, there's not some third pole that's going to come in to play. I don't know how it's going to end, but most of Trump's foreign policy is directed at China and undermining their effort on this front. And thus far I think it's working.
It’ll just be a multipolar world

Living in reality and willing to be critical of strategic leadership is now called wish casting for failure.
Rich.

Some people are good at recognizing patterns. Some are only good at repeating propaganda.

If living in reality is relying on "sources at a biased media outlet" then we live in different realities....
but I've known that for years now, which is why I no longer vote next to you.

And the IRGC will fight until the last man is standing. Will our military do that? Nope.

Maybe don’t start a conflict unless you have a clear objective of what you’re desiring to accomplish and the political will and logistical means to see it through.

I love how the left bends over backwards to shite on our military. Last week you fricks were singing in the streets about how happy you are when they come home in body bags. This week, the IRGC are bigger and better than the military, and will fight harder than our military.

UK says, "We do, we'll call Norway and Nigeria and ask for more." Most of their oil already comes from there anyway. It's China, Japan and Australia....and India that rely heavily on PG oil.

Never said that. I said they will fight until the last man is standing primarily because of their ideology. That doesn't mean they are 'better' or 'bigger' etc. It means no matter how bad things are going for them they will drag this out for as long as possible which is bad for The United States. Some of you really need to get out of your echo chamber and into reality. Keep in mind not even this forum's hero Robert E Lee was willing to fight until the last man was standing and neither were his Armies and the Confederates say what you will about them they were courageous as frick under the circumstances
Lastly, my paw paw flew 56 missions in a P-51 Mustang out of Italy and North Africa into Europe so that same Europe can be overrun by a bunch of Muslim fanatics who no matter what country they are in they will do things so horrendous that our Military nor civilians will do. For example, there isn't a baw on here who when it comes down to it would chop someones head off or castrate or mutilate someones genitals - we are too civilized of a people to do that. Muslims won't hesitate to do either because violence is all they know. Does this help you understand what I am talking about? I am not bashing our Military I am just giving you reality.

Worked for an EU company right here in south Louisiana. Watched them go woke. Expressed my concern and got a package deal. Love seeing this today, but feel bad for the families involved. I don't have a family, it's just me, and I still don't have a job today. Happy AF
