Yeah scrolling through X right now is making my blood boil. I just saw one who was claiming it was all fake and was asked if the murdered person in the crowd would agree. The response was "Stay alive. Don't go to Trump rallies."
The out-in-the-open hatred being spewed by a lot of them is just disgusting.

This is where the failure lies. It's organizational failure, not a conspiracy or a setup by the SS.
While I'm not in the Secret Service, I do have a lot of relevant experience and have worked with the SS before. The fact of the matter is that there was still a lot of individual agents that did their jobs very well yesterday - those that rushed Trump and shielded him with their own bodies while escorting him away, those that hung around and protected crowd members, and the sniper team that dropped the dude within seconds with a headshot.
The failure was in securing the outer perimeter, and most of the time the outer layers are "patrolled" by local and state police special units. This could've been a total failure to communicate or someone just completely failing at their post, but this is not an organizational setup within the SS.
I'm also willing to bet that Trump doesn't get the "cream of the crop" SS and has a much smaller contingent than Biden and his family. 'The B Team'
Also, the sniper team looks like they had eyes on the shooter seconds before he started shooting, but since he was over the crest line of the roof it would've been nearly impossible to see the gun before he started positioning it. As an SS sniper, the last thing you want to do is crack off a headshot at a Trump fan just wanting to get a view of the rally from outside the perimeter (as it was shown, there were many watching from outside the rally).
This would've been a political mess and giant headlines right before the election, and that sniper would've been crucified. Imagine headlines "Trump supporter shot dead by Trump's SS detail at rally" all over the place. So I understand the hesitation to take the shot until it's 100% confirmed.

This rot is rampant in our federal agencies. I have a former apolitical co-worker who, after working ten years in a fed agency, is an unhinged TDS lunatic. The entire system is rotten to the core—unsalvagable, in my opinion.
