That’s a woefully short effort at touching on even only the headline bullet points re: populism. And mind you, as I stated before, I am under no illusion that I am the person with all the answers on this subject. But I would suggest that you supplement your current understanding of that topic with the very critical aspect that there are a number of variations and varieties of “populism.” Once you dig a little deeper into that aspect, then you will see how it’s very likely that contrary to popular belief, there are very few, if any, of the populism specialists amongst us who have even just a decent grasp of the overall concept. I’m not going to point any fingers, but I have a pretty good idea of who does or doesn’t know what.
And I would assert that it is me who is the normal person, having helluva time communicating with abnormal people.
