As I was reading my news feeds it dawned on me that of all of DJTs staff the one that may be leading the pack in the 28 race is Noem. Vance is in a visible position but Noem is literally “taking prisoners” in her HS leadership. She hasnt backed down on anything Trump has asked for so far.
JMHO for now. Long way to 28.
This is an Angel Reese level missed layup dude
It's Vance

Absolutely not on Noem. A Republican woman will get destroyed in a general election.
Rubio is probably the strongest but I’m not sure I fully trust him. For about 10 years he seemed quite captured by the system.

Rubio. Best candidate
Rubio is another good one. I was not picking a nominee in this thread but looking for the top 3-4.
Vance has the inside track as VP.
Rubio is doing way above expectations
Desantis glimmer is fading.
Noem was not a frontrunner in the GOP coming into this administration but damn she is doing the dirty work on most people's #1 issue - illegal immigration. Homan is a large part of that too. My point in the OP is she is shedding a lot of criticisms she had when she ran for POTUS. I wasnt expecting a lot of agreement but damn the unanamous DVs is impressive.
Like I said it is a long way to the 28 election.

Vance will be the nominee unless something bad happens between now and 28. He has a huge advantage in fundraising and name recognition. If Trump backs him it’s over.

Desantis. Dude has made Florida one of the best conservative states in the country.
DeSantis is a really good governor but running for President is a totally different animal. He doesn’t have the personality for national politics. When he ran in 24 he had really bad unfavorable ratings in RNC polling early on which caused the big donors to dump him.

120 or so days in to Trump’s term, I find it ludicrous to even talk about 2028 candidates on either side.
A lot can happen.
Let’s see what Trump and his team can do between now and 2026. Then we can talk.

My honest opinion is that Sarah Huckabee Sanders
I'd be shocked. She wants to get her kids raised before she gets back into the fray. I think she needs two full terms as governor to build her resume. Trump did reach out to her first for the VP position, but he knew her answer. He thinks quite highly of her. She's legit. I've seen her in action behind the scenes and she has a way of handling things that has been impressive.
I think she is the front runner to be our first female President, but it won't be in 2028.

You’re right; it is a long way. But I think JD Vance is going to be very hard to beat. It’s not just because of his pole position, as VP, it’s mainly because of his talent. He is a natural, like Reagan, Clinton and Obama.

Rubio. Best candidate and would get a lot of support even from so-called Never Trumpers.
If you actually want to win the general election….absolutely is the best candidate. You’ve got to have a path to 270. And he does.
