However, prior to Netanyahu’s appeal before US Congress we were on the heels of the first diplomatic in-roads with Iran in around 40 years with buy-in from most of the first world. Of course Bibi didn’t like that… big shocker.
Right after that, we leave JCPOA + pressure Iran + assassinate Soleimani.
You gonna argue the course we were on in 2017 was worse than the one we pivoted to after our self-induced JCPOA falling out? Easily the dumbest and most avoidable miscalculation of Trump’s entire political career.
