Trump Shouldn't Debate, Why Give Publicity To People Who Can't Get It Themselves?

There will be no debates
Even Ron wont agree to get on the debate stage with the junior card, if Trump doesnt show. It will only weaken Ron in the eyes of voters. Make him look like the rest of the wannabees

Debates were needed when we all gathered around the radio or TV to get our only long look at candidates. Now we see them every hour on the hour. Anyone clueless by election day, is clueless in life too

Politically I can see what Trump is attempting to do here and I don't think it's necessarily a bad political play - so I won't pretend it's some egregious thing.
I do think keeping him off the stage is going to be a challenge if others go through the motions of holding debates, but perhaps he'll be content to rage tweet (which again, might not be bad politically).
At a higher level, I think it's bad for the country, but I think our political system is wrecked as it is. Trump should be vetted and have to face some serious, direct opposition as to why he should get the nomination again. He lost it for us last time and him being able to get the nom without a debate makes the party look pathetic and weak (which they are).
But ultimately, if he's able to skip debates without damage, that's on the party and her voters for letting him get away with it.

I'm leaning this way for the first debate at least. He's a former Prez so let the others weed themselves out without him being the attention of all the attacks while there. Let the TDS show itself. Desantis should prefer this option as hell most likely gain some points.
The debates ratings will be better with Trump though. He can respond to all the hits after.
