Listening to what he says carefully, because you frickin have to with this guy, it is infrastructure related and it's oil and gas related. I'm pretty confident he is talking about contracts to rebuild infrastructure within Iran.

That didn’t move the needle for me much. Contracts to fix the shite we broke are short-term things; not long-term game changers.

Also, I don't think we plan on controlling the strait. The British are moving in to take the con on the mine sweeping efforts. We don't have business in the strait.

I'm listening to some Iranian expats talk about this right now and they're saying that what he's doing here by telling the world they have given us some "present" here is causing infighting among the IRGC and Iranian leadership. Also that it's turning regime supporters against the regime. Masterful move.

Well, what he said is that they're talking with someone who is actually in charge, whoever it is, because whatever it is they gave us was something nobody else could unless they were. I'm thinking that they gave them intelligence proving they have support in addition to whatever infrastructure promises they made.
I don't know if it's IRGC or not, but whoever it is is in control to a point they proved it to Trump.

I think you'll see them go full bore the other way and fully embrace Iran. Including nuclear research for non weaponry purposes and trade partnerships as well.
In addition to their oil infrastructure problems they now face, you also have to consider that their infrastructure in general has not been updated in about 50 years.
Pre 1979 Iran was modern and sleek. But once the Ayatollah took over standards fell through the floor and ain't anything new been built that hasn't turned to shite. The US fixing to help them modernize their entire country and rebuild everything.
