Because he is stuck thinking like an idealist. He does not want the CR as it was constructed either.
Trump just told you. Deal making is all about being pragmatic. Trump does not respect an the intractable idealist. Trumps thinks in terms of deals. Make the best deal today, come back for more tomorrow. Roy wants it all today and that is not going to work. Hence Trump thinking he is untalented and should be primaried.
