Trump is not authentic.
Trump says what he waved to say, rather than having other people say it for him.
Whether it is a good thing or a bad thing for the president to have no filter can certainly be discussed.

Rob Reiner was a horrible American. Very bad for our country. He had a huge platform and used it to spread lies about Trump and all American conservatives.
Rob Reiner was a nasty man.
The death of he and his wife is a profound tragedy and I'm sad that it happened, but, Rob Reiner was not a good man and he was not a good American.

It is OK for Trump as a person and a political figure to make a statement like that - not perfect but better than feigned admiration.
But to speak as the POTUS that statement was out of line. There in no need to speak ill of murdered persons in an official capacity. IF he was going to say anything at all it should concentrate on the civil deterioration that is fueling atrocities like this - and compare it to Kirk's assassination.
He certainly should not have emulated the grossness of DEM hoodrats.
I was disappointed by his demeanor on this one.

Oh I think he has a filter... His personal opinions are probably much more harsh than those he put on Twitter. I don't like it, but I can, on the other hand, understand when Reiner and those on the left have been spewing that kind of hateful, hyperbolic paranoid rhetoric that he was often brought on major shows and news programs broadcast to millions of people to spew, which led to two assassination attempts on Trump. That same rhetoric has led to all the insanity with the left's push back on ICE and attacks on ICE agents, the National Guard members in D.C., Charlie Kirk etc etc etc. fostering the left's notion that anyone who disagrees with them is a "Nazi," a "fascist," deserving of violence and death.
I get how he might not be so sympathetic about Reiner.
