Just because some are called “Catholic Charities”…does not make them Catholic.
Like most NGOs, it’s all BS.

Pull all funding going to charity
Government and charity should be two different things

The Pope attacked Trump. Trump responded to the Pope's criticisms and the Pope's vow to "fight him." The Pope indicated he wanted a fight with Trump. He can't be mad when he gets it now.

Grok:
Yes, significantly. 321 tracked Christian ministries received a combined $2.35 billion in government grants in 2023 alone. Top recipients were relief and development orgs — World Vision got $661 million, Mercy Corps $400 million, World Relief $126 million. Christian universities like Liberty, Baylor, and Pepperdine also receive federal money. And DHS distributes hundreds of millions in security grants to faith-based institutions across all religions.
The legal rule: Federal money can fund social services (food banks, disaster relief, homeless shelters) run by religious orgs, but legally cannot fund actual religious activity like worship or proselytizing.

I misspoke: if you knew about it, why do you project it and ignore the "party flip" that happened? Kind of sounds like deflection to me

The baskets will be passed thrice on Sunday.

Bruh...
If you could not tell, this was the only part of anything in this thread that was of interest to me.
quote:Why it was done, a "party flip"(whatever the hell you are talking about there), or anything else was not referenced in order to be deflected from. I specifically mentioned all religious charities in my rhetorical question.
Trump pulls millions from funding of Catholic Charities
So....what da frick are you on or on about?

I can't wait for Trump to remove the Pope from the Catholic Church and put boots on the ground in the Vatican. That'll show him.

Why were federal dollars being used to fund charities?
Catholic church partners with different organizations and use federal grants in medical research, housing, food drives, food kitchens, addiction recovery, pregnancy centers, shelter for domestic violence, and many more.
Children’s Mercy in Kansas City partners with Medicaid administration, mental health infrastructure, public health advocacy, and healthy housing programs.

Encouraging open borders means the Pope hates taxpayers in first world countries, their women, and their children.

I am sorry. Old man moment. I thought you were the poster who said "democrats, the original racists" in another thread.

I guess that's both good and bad news - good because they're not getting money, bad because Trump had nothing to do with it, apparently.

Leo delivered a speech in Cameroon and warned that the world is being ravaged by "tyrants." He has emphasized peace and warned against justifying violence through religion
Has the Pope never heard of Boku Haram and the kidnappings rapes and murders that are their specially in the part of Africa he's pontificating in? Much less the destruction of so many priceless manuscripts by the same gormless men in Timbuktu?
