I thought Ford went to the Wapo because she didn’t think Feinstein was going to use her letter. Her “excuse” for going to Wapo was because she was being harassed by reporters. (Which could easily be a lie)

I don't see why. It's all rolled into the Ford accusations. They just so happened to inadvertently out Feinstein er uh the leaker.

She said she only released Dr. Ford's name after Dr. Ford started getting hounded by the press. John Cornyn asked her how did the press get Dr. Ford's name, to which DiFi stammered, sputtered, and said some gibberish without answering the question.
