We should.

In fact, shame desperately needs to make a comeback in our society. There are a lot of behaviors that could be eradicated with some shame and guilt.

Just to test my theory, were you in favor of Michelle Obama's initiative to improve the nutritional value of school lunches?

We did this when I was in elementary school. The fat kids either quit immediately or didn’t even try. The skinny kids who weren’t able to bench press the bar could always do a ton of pull ups. Who cares.

How well do you this quote would go over today?

“There is nothing, I think, more unfortunate than having soft, chubby, fat-looking children who go to watch their school play basketball every Saturday and regard that as their week's exercise.” — JFK

Yes, I was. I've been a supporter of health initiatives, regardless of politics. If that's an attempt at a gotcha, you're going after the wrong guy.

All the shite additives in our foods needs to go away as well. My eyes were opened, funny enough, when I saw the UK version of the Cadbury Easter egg. Yeah, I know it's not healthy, but if you're going to consume something like that, it should be made of the simplest ingredients and actual cocoa.

I didn’t have an opinion at the time. What was the result of her changes. Did the meals improve?

I was in favor of it but it was done very poorly and one could argue that it really didn't accomplish its intended purpose either... Most kids skipped lunch (resulting in a huge amount of waste) and then gorged themselves on ho-hos and twinkies when they got home...

Hopefully it will help with the number of people who are ineligible for military service due to being to fat.

Yeah, the problem is trying to educate and basically reprogram people to start liking healthy foods. It's not easy to do.

However, I absolutely supported her ideas and at least she tried. I agree, it was implemented poorly. It should have been gradual, and went along with education about the foods.

On one hand this is great news, it never should have been done away with. On the other hand, for a president and administration that is supposedly committed to removing Federal oversight and intervention in schools to the point of wanting to do away with the Department of Education, they sure are doing a whole lot in regards to schools.

Good idea. Pas the test or run laps during recess. The fatties will suffer appropriately but for their own good….

Fats kids were extremely rare when i was a kid…..about 1 in every 3 grade school classes,,,,,,,,

See this is the crazy thing. We're not body shaming people, we're teaching them to be healthy in school. win-win-win

Of course Maddow and THE View will now tell us fitness is racist.
