In this day and age of GPS synchronization, your phone and GPS will change with the new abnormalities in time if one state chooses to do something crazy.

No matter what happens, half the country will complain. So flip a coin, draw out of a hat, it doesn't matter. Pick one and make the entire country follow it. It is dumb that you can drive and change your clock 4 times within the state of Arizona.
Pick daylight or standard and tell the complainers to get over it. Changing times twice a year is not worth the effort.

So will I have to get up earlier for turkey hunting or later? Will it get dark earlier for deer hunting or later? I don't think I can do both. I'll have to think this one through.

With that said, I’m no longer a year round ST proponent, either. In the same way that I don’t want it dark until 830, I don’t want it light at 430, either.
I propose we go back to the original dates of DST before the two extensions: Last Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October. I think my biggest objections to DST come from it currently being extended all the way back to the second Sunday of March and to the first Sunday in November.
If people desperately want more daylight for Halloween, they can keep November if we go back to the last week of April.
Had it in Arizona. Never thought anything about it at all and it didn't really affect anything.
The only thing that sucked about it was everyone else changed so it was kind of a pain in the butt trying to figure out what time it was elsewhere. So even though we weren't changing our clocks I had to change my calculations.

It's never been easier to manage changing clocks. Most do it themselves.
This is all the dumbest shite I've ever heard. Most people agree we should have one time regime but they are evenly split on which one it should be.
The result is the pretty good system we currently have. A compromise system that functions remarkably well.
When Trump throws out fighting crime as a reason to stay on daylight savings time you know he's lost the plot.

Think of all the injuries that happen as a result of women sending their husbands up a step stool, climbing onto a kitchen counter, and so on just to manually reset the clock she just had to have.

When it comes to DST year-around, some states are impacted WAY more than others. For example, Minnesota would see extreme differences compared to Florida.
Washington DC doesn't need to tell the entire country how to set their clocks.

Standard should be the permanent time. But of course the government can’t even get that right. For some reason Trump thinks this will be an easy W, but people will end up hating perm DST.
