I thought the same thing - Trump is trying to goad NBC into cancelling so that he can benefit from the blowback.
Worst case, he does the forum and gets credit for being a straight-shooter on the Twitter machine and for crushing Biden in the ratings. Best case, NBC cancels and moderates continue to wake up to the danger the left poses.
