Quite a few years ago, TX passed a law expediting the application of the death penalty in cases where three or more witnesses saw the crime or murder. Right or wrong, I think this judge wants to give a little time with his family to this thug before he's on the fast track to death row.
He started shite by intentionally wandering into the tent of the opposing team and sitting in someone else's seat, then stabbed to death the guy who confronted him about it. They use the one photo of the murderer in existence where he was actually dressed nicely in a suit for media and news reporting, but a jury is going to see the thug's countless social media pictures throwing gang signs and holding pistols and AK47s while dressed in pants below his arse.
Call me the optimist on this case, and maybe it's because the Kyle Rittenhouse case came out as it should have in spite of a relentless media campaign to bury KR where he stood. I mean, even Ana Kasparian was "Team Kyle" by the end of that trial. But, I think TX is going to get this one right.
Do I think they're going to sentence this POS to death? Nope, not a chance. But I'm certain that they'll give him 25 to life minimum.

The widely spread innuendo that the murderer got a mansion for his family is just as bad. Trash on both sides...

In this case there is a police report of a confession at the scene. The kid said he did it. He stabbed the other kid. There were dozens of witnesses.
