Trump may never be impeached. As long as the threat of Adam Schiff taking the stand under oath in a senate trial remains, Pelosi may never send over the articles of impeachment to the senate.

And that’s my prediction. It will never go to the Senate. McConnell has already said he will do the White House’s bidding and we know where Trump stands via his tweets about it.

Let's also not forget that Queen Nancy has to tell her side to pipe down on the celebration they were partaking in when the vote was announced.
Furthermore, let's not forget the lying, fake assed, long faced Dems all marching up to speak with the same bullshite talking points about how sad they were to vote for Impeachments and how solemn the process was.
Finally, let's not forget that the lying Dems fraudulently claimed the reason Impeachment had to be rushed through was the dire and looming threat Trump posed to the 2020 election. These articles just had to be enacted ASAP based on this threat posed, no waiting for courts to rule on who had to testify or what the Republicans should be allowed to present...none of this was called for due to the time sensitive nature of the situation at hand BUUUUUT once they get voted on and approved, well now that's a different story in the works. Suddenly, they are no longer urgent at all. Damned frauds!

Did it? Have they faced a single consequence?
They're still in office. Still collecting a tax funded salary. Still making decisions that effect the country. Still in session. Still fleecing money from tax payers and foreign interests. Still funneling money through charities and campaigns. Still going home everyday secure in themselves and their power.
This is the equivalent of celebrating Hitler getting a papercut in the middle of the holocaust. Don't lose site of the bigger picture.
The deep state spent 4 years making the president's life miserable using every tactic in the book to skirt the constitution and subvert our electoral process. And they did all of this with the expressed purpose of making sure their own interests and not the interests of tht majority of Americans was carried out and protected.
That's downright terrifying.

The Senate can always change their rules, but I believe they must hold a trial, at least the very early stages of one. The mangers, chief justice, senators, etc. would have to recite their oaths, the rules/schedule adopted, and all the procedural aspects agreed upon. They could move to dismiss immediately after that though without hearing any evidence or arguments, I believe.
