Another stupid move by Trump. He should have refused all of this and just issued clearances the minute he was sworn into office. The President is THE classification and clearance official for this nation. He's the first word and the last word. If he refuses to let them do backgrounds, we all know what will happen - things will get leaked - and when that happens, he has even more justification to go scorched earth on the IC.
