Trumps go to is labeling everything a “democrat hoax” now. Epstein files? Democrat hoax. The economy sucks and everything is too expensive? Don’t believe your lying eyes, that’s a democrat hoax too. (Btw this was the exact same thing Biden did regarding the economy, gaslighting the people saying republicans are lying and everything is fine) fricking pathetic that some people just eat this up.

This is a corporate talking point. There are enough talented Americans to do these jobs.

Yes, but then you would have to pay the Americans a decent wage to do it. Why would a company pay an American $24/hour to work a factory line, when Trump will let them pay a minimal fee to import a guy from Malaysia who will be thrilled to do it for $8/hour for years on end.

They want the benefits of working in America without having to actually employ and pay American workers a reasonable wage.

This is correct. They couldnt possibly setup shop elsewhere or they would have done it already.

CEOs. Look at how many CEOs come from “inferior” education.

They were educated in the US. They come to our schools because they’re better than the schools in India.

I’m not talking about the Satya Nadellas of the world. You won’t convince me that the average H1B recipient is more talented than the average US citizen with similar educational background.

It's amazing the number of people who are in here who are eating up this propaganda and are willing to sell Americans down the river.

I know an American with a software engineering degree (with work experience and great grades from undergrad from Georgia Tech) that gave up job hunting in the tech field because of the massive number of H1B workers that have been imported by tech companies. He now works as an assistant manager in a hotel.

Also worth noting is that many of these tech companies use H1B visas, import these foreign tech workers, have Americans train them on how to do their jobs, and then dismiss the American workers. I also know of a lot of stories where H1B workers in tech screw up a lot of code that causes companies to then rehire some of the same people they canned to fix their screwups.

The basis for all of this is just wanting to have cheap labor.

The American people are under the assumption that the US education system is great. It isn’t. We rank 16th in science and 34th in math.

Where does India rank?

You say that like there's something wrong with it; of course they want to save money where they can.

Trump is NOT an eloquent speaker!!, Vance has been showing he can handle the speaking part well!

Like I've been saying lately, Trump needs a few days off to reset. He's cranky and running on fumes!!

I guess that you missed the part of my post that stated this:

So, how is rehiring an American worker after hiring two foreign born tech workers at a cheaper cost to replace them allow them to save money?

It's inefficient, and ultimately, costs the employer more to do it this way.

An article on this happening in Collierville, TN after Fred Smith stepped down and was replaced by Raj Subramanium. Their customer service has fallen off of a cliff.

Then you shouldn’t have any problems with illegals working in agriculture and construction. Right?

Then it's not cheaper labor.

But if it is cheaper I can't fault them for using it. All of us take price into consideration, why is it bad when a business does it?

Love flooding skilled jobs with cheap immigrant labor while deporting people who build houses and grow food

Really great policy

If you truly believe that a work ethic is taught after an employee enters the workforce, you are terribly mistaken. And a glowing example of why the foreign candidate gets hired. While I appreciate your attempt to be humorous, it avoids the point the President is making.

You don’t just naturally become studious. You have it ingrained in you. How do we whip army soldiers into shape? Do they just magically start wanting to do the work?

Regardless, you act like the people that aren’t working right now are lazy and were fired. However, the problem is that they are never hired in the first place. You act like their work ethic is subpar without hiring them, or based on anecdotes. The young men entering the trades have every bit of work ethic you’re complaining about them not having.

You see the difference between that and a legal visa? I don't have a problem with hispanics working in agriculture and construction, if that's what you're asking. I do have a problem with illegals regardless of skin tone, education, culture, etc.
