Truman fire MacArthur. Why? MacArthur thwarted Truman’s attempt to negotiate a ceasefire when the general ordered his troops to invade North Korea and push the NKPA up past the 38th parallel. This was not the first time the general had ignored direct orders from his Commander in Chief.

It does if you ever served in the military. The guys on the JCOS are usually guys who are command Generals. Very short list. Just means that he just got promoted to 4 Star by becoming the CJCOS.
Was it problematic when Obama fired WHITE Generals when he became CINC?
