The funny thing is, for as much as Trump's detractors want to call him a dictator and an autocrat, he's probably the only American in the history of ever that could be trusted with that kind of powers and we'd all be better for it.

Asylum' is the biggest joke of this whole thing. People are using it as an excuse to come here and get a bunch of free shite for themselves and their kids.

They're being coached to do it by the Democrats and their Hungarian puppet master. It's straight out of the Cloward-Piven blueprint. The law enforcement focus needs to be on the traitors rather than the illegals themselves.

if there's a bunch of folks from costa rica who decide they need asylum, why are they not stopping and asking for asylum in the 4 international borders they cross before they get to the US? and how would we enforce those borders?

Probably because most Costa Ricans are not migrating and are quite happy with their own country.

According to a new rule published in the Federal Register , asylum seekers who pass through another country first will be ineligible for asylum

That's not a new rule. It is literally the UN rule

Two strategic items here (1) positively alters the asylum game (2) moves the Democrat, liberal, progressive, socialists even further left with their craziness in supporting people breaking the law entering our country.

We have seen a democratic Presidential candidate help someone across the border without papers or going thru a port of entry.

Why was Cory Booker not arrested for doing that...

This is a great policy. Why can't asylum seekers from Central America seek asylum in Mexico while they are marching through their country? It's obvious that they are exploiting our good will.

Asylum WAS offered by Mexico during the big caravans, and few took them up on it. The “fringe benefits” were not as good as in the USA.

So you're saying that we need one of our resident attorneys to have it in front of the 5th circuit by lunch?

Dude has been almost all talk and no action on illegal immigration

File this under keep saying the same things over and over and hope no one notices.

There are literally reports being issued on the changes Trump has almost single-handedly implemented.

quote:

This report examines the wide range of changes the Trump administration has set in motion, from enhanced enforcement measures and new application vetting requirements, to cuts in refugee admissions and the scaling back of temporary protections for some noncitizens.

quote:

Congress has thus far shown little inclination to pass major immigration legislation, and the courts have halted or slowed key initiatives, including early iterations of the travel ban and the separation of families as part of a “zero-tolerance” border policy. States and localities have also taken divergent approaches to local law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration authorities, with some passing laws to curtail coordination and others to facilitate it. Still, through incremental changes and presidential discretion, the administration may in the long term be able to significantly redefine who comes to the country and who is removed from it.

Because they aren’t really seeking “asylum” they are seeking the USA.

obviously we cannot enforce any borders other than our own. But those seeking asylum at our border, other than Mexicans, should have paperwork from each country they passed through proving/stating they were denied asylum from each country. They do not have the paperwork, which means they just want to come to America.

This is a common sense rule

The actual text of the asylum law says that people with a legitimate claim must be unable or unwilling to return to his or her country of nationality because of persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.

Mexico may be a struggling nation, but it’s also a safe country compared to those described in asylum law text that qualify as lefit asylum cases

The only fast way out of this is tariffs on Mexican products. Illegal immigration needs to stop at
mexico's southern border.
Its past time Mexico bleeds, HARD! Arizona Patriots has video of the Mexican army allowing the immigrants right through Mexico.
