Yes it is. This is a base election. He’s maintaining enthusiasm with his base and forcing Biden to distance himself from his base.

He wouldn’t have to “bluster and bark” if he would be treated fairly

I guess attacks of a plotted coup of the USA tends to create the NEED for some “bluster and bark”

You people irritated by that understand the concepts of "existential threat" and "destruction of the USA?

You had better dwell on those a bit if you remain confused

As a proud Trumpkin I say absofkntotalutely.

When the enemy refuses to play fairly, you have to use different tactics.

The Left are vile, evil scum at this point who REFUSE to play nice....why should Trump or why should we?

I'll say it again .....

For four years the Democratic Party has continued their vision of telling the American Public to "Go to Hell"

Biden was nothing more than a bad CNN Commercial. Not one original thought other than what you hear on CNN. Not one difference from what has come out of the mouths of the vast unwashed. Antifa an IDEA? That makes the Democrat party's other militant creation, the KKK, nothing other than an "Idea"

You have to watch the debate twice

Every time he attempted to rebuttal Biden, Wallace interrupted and talked over him

Well I have a suggestion for you. Why don’t you just go do the patriotic think and vote for him and let him determine the best course of action to get re-elected. He is a lot smarter than both of us and will be successful. Just watch

I’ll allow it.

We have a problem when MOST people approve of the job he is doing yet MOST say they will not vote for him.

If he loses, it will be 100% ego. 1 Peter states that you shouldn’t indulge yourself at the expense of your soul - live an exemplary life and your actions will refute those who against you. People will be won over to your side.

I actually think Biden’s team (of psychologist probably) provoked (and Biden started it) Trump on purpose.

Many hate this side of Trump and Biden brought it to the forefront - on purpose I think.

i disagree with your assessment and would like to know specifically what you think trump should have done differently and how you know that would have worked better

Do you think a typical American came away from the debate understanding any of the following:

1. Trump has done far more for the black community in less than four years than Biden and our 1st black president did in 8 years, and it's not even close.

2. Critical Race Theory is not the same as sensitivity training, and it's simply not rational.

3. The "good people on both sides" BS is in fact BS, and shame on Wallace and all of the Left for misleading the country for so long - and as proof of this, "I knew this would happen so I queued up a tweet that proves they've been lying to you, I'm instructing my campaign staff to post it right now. Please go, watch the video of my remarks, and you decide if I'm right, that you've been lied to for more than 3 years."

4. The violence we've experienced this summer is not "right wing supremacy" at its source. It's ridiculous to claim this, and Joe parroting this BS is costing this country economically and more importantly, with lives lost.

I could fill up this space with similar commentary about COVID, but that wouldn't change the point - Trump could have accomplished so much more than he did by bringing as much light to the debate as he did heat.

Your assertion fails to recognize the severity of this situation and that the POTUS is fighting a battle against Marxist/socialist. That’s what the Democrats and their media are in this day and age. Against the backdrop of that, you are worried about decorum, protocol, looking presidential and barking.

Harden up, man. You don’t know where this is going after Election Day.

Me too- the positive is that Biden blustered and barked too. Net impact has to be minimal.

Biden only have 3 or 4 minor senior moments. I think they juiced him. He said that Moscow, Burisma dollars and China investing 1.5 billion in Hunter was all "debunked."

I suppose he should have been all “presidential” and smile nicely while Biden lies his arse off. Could anyone be expected to to that? Hell no!

Ronald Reagan was the most effective communicator as a President I've seen in my lifetime. His one-liners could cut through and resonate more effectively than any barking, and I can't recall him ever interrupting someone or talking over them. The couple of examples I can cite where he did show his teeth stand out BECAUSE he did it so rarely. In all this, he communicated big ideas that completely changed the trajectory of American politics, and he did it on the heels of a 15 year shitshow of national government.
I was too young to give a shite about politics during Reagan's stint.

But did Reagan deal with hatred from the media like Trump? Did the Dems waste energy, countless resources and tons of money trying yo impeach Reagan?
