Reagan shaped my life from my early teens to late teens. He was so suave that he would have the Democrats eating out of his hand. Read some of Tip O’Neill’s works.

I guess much of the shite show that we’ve seen from Presidents can be dated to the Iraqi war and George Bush‘s promise to not raise taxes. Since then we’ve had nothing but warmongers, far left liberals, and Trump (who can’t get past his ego).

With the state of media and fake news, I’m not sure if we’ll ever see decency again.

think about what you're saying. you're saying that there were people who voted for trump in 2016 who are now repulsed by his bluster? you're saying there were people who didn't vote in 2016 who are now repulsed by his bluster? this is not new to anyone.

as for people who didn't vote for him before, either they're convinced by what he does off stage or not. for those who aren't, time to go to war.

Trump has done far more for the black community in less than four years than Biden
those people are either convinced by what he has done OFF STAGE for the last 3 years or not. the debate doesn't change one thing.

again, that's an off stage issue. no one is going to be convinced either way by the debate

shame on Wallace and all of the Left for misleading the country for so long
same thing and you're even admitting as much when you point to the daily activities of the media. and btw, he handled this issue in the debate as i've pointed out

The violence we've experienced this summer is not "right wing supremacy" at its source
he specifically commented on this

I could fill up this space with similar commentary about COVID
he made several really strong points on this issue

Trump could have accomplished so much more
this might still be true but i haven't seen any reasons so far to think it was true. trump did about as much as any person could do given the circumstances

bringing as much light to the debate as he did heat
that time is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY over. the left is only going to understand one thing - being bludgeoned into submission by every red blooded american. that their views and their goals are unacceptable in this country. either wise up and understand how the real world actually works or get out. the time for subtlety and nuance has passed.

Yes. But I get it. You like the bluster.

w was not a warmonger. trump's ego is necessary to fight the deep state and the swamp. he is EXACTLY who was needed for that. you're way off base

I’m tired of people complaining about Trump. His personality should not be a revelation after years of his presidency. But he is all that we have. Vote Trump or lose the country.

NO KIDDING. my word. NO ONE wants this. no one wants a trump to be president in order to save the country. but this is where the left has driven the country

quote:

Vote Trump or lose the country
exactly. heck, we might lose the country even if trump is elected. once the trump experiment is over, it's up to the conservative citizens of the country to fight in the streets. the street fight has already started. conservatives haven't joined yet because we control the white house and the senate. once that ends, it's war and the left started it decades ago

Hell yeah

Where is the civility on the democrat side? There is none.

Whenever Trump said something - Biden called him a liar - it was frustrating to watch because as though it seemed Trump was unprepared - it didn’t matter anyway

I think the quote above is consistent with your whole post, so I'll address it.

It's not the Left that needed to learn about/understand Trump. There are millions of voters who don't pay all that much attention to politics until the last month or two running up to an election. A lot of them, even if they identify as Democrats, are not "Left" as we understand the Left today. They are people that have heard headlines through the TDS era, are intellectually skeptical of politicians in general, and were persuadable last night. I think Trump could have won many of them over if he had spent some of that energy on information, particulars, details - after all, it's the other side that chooses "truth" over facts.

I'll vote again for Trump. No, he's not a polished debater. But he's tired of putting up w the constant incoming BS and lies, and he came out swinging.
Biden and his boss Hussein were p***ies that let the world walk all over the U.S. At least DJT has the cajones to stand up.

Ag Zwin, A&M should have taught you more about cult membership. The first rule of any cult is that you do not question the leader. No matter how batshit crazy or detrimental the leader may seem, you DO NOT QUESTION THE LEADER!

i don't think this demographic really exists in any appreciable quantity. that is a construct of the political establishment. everyone is somewhere on every issue. 808 is a good example. he's been pretty far right regarding c19 but left of center regarding leo. i don't think there is a whole segment of the population that is in the "middle" on every issue waiting to be persuaded. trump is a result of the left forcing people to take a side. pretty much all of the people who identify as democrat, whether progressive or somewhere closer to the center, will vote democrat. that's how they work. sure, a few will cross the party line, but not many.

thinking there is a homogeneous group of undecided voters, a tabula rasa so to speak, is conventional political thinking. this has gone way beyond conventional politics and trump was just the start. he was elected specifically because convention is going out the window. the politicians in the "middle," rinos and moderate dems, are being pushed to one end or the other and it's all because the radical left fought harder in the political arena than conservatives starting 3 or 4 decades ago.

quote:

are intellectually skeptical of politicians in general
biden did nothing, NOTHING, to convince such a person that he is the right man for the job. trump showed he's a fighter.
