Does Covid excuse the out of control printing, spending, and handouts by Trump admin? It was totally unnecessary.

Our last bout of inflation belonged to both Trump and Biden.

You don't need experts. Just go down the beef aisle and diabetes aisle(s) at the grocery store. The prices are insane
Remember when Trump told us he was going to 'fix' this? Maybe he's waiting until he finally unveils that healthcare plan he has been talking about releasing for 10 years now?

They. Will. Never. Admit. This. They can't because it upends their whole worldview.

Look at this shite to excuse an economic simpleton.
Trump will eventually have to relent on all his tariffs. Its inevitable.

Yes, because we never printed money during Trump's first term

So after years of saying that tariffs don't raise the prices for consumers MAGA is finally understanding that tariffs make costs go up?
What we said is that prices don't increase nearly as much as you people said they would.
You people thought a 50% tariff on a $16k handbag made it cost $24k. In reality, it would at most be 50% added to the wholesale price. So, it would increase a few hundred at most. Not exactly a deal breaker for someone willing to spend $16k on a purse.
We also said that prices wouldn't increase that much since companies would choose to eat the cost to retain market share. Despite all of you ignoring this, we still have mounds of quotes from CEOs saying they did exactly that.
You people kept saying that consumers would be responsible for all or most of the tariffs, and that simply never happened.
We also said that prices weren't the end all be all. We recognized the benefits tariffs bring like opening up foreign markets to American companies and bringing investments and jobs to the US. We tried to explain the big picture, but it just didn't take.
Everything we told you about tariffs has proven to be true.

Oh bulllshiite. Cut the crap. There are people still saying that exporters absorb the cost of tariffs. At least you're admitting that tariffs increase prices.

Only because we have experienced rampant inflation since 2020. But tell me, if a company absorbs a tariff cost, don't you think that they might offset that cost in other ways that negatively affect the economy? Things like layoffs, cutting supplier spends, little to no Capex, etc, etc? You people still honestly believe that tariffs have no economic consequence at all. Roughly $200 billion has been moved from the private sector to the Federal Govt. and you guys still think that is all magic money.

So, we replaced the income tax? Have we, what was it, oh yeah, refinanced our debt? Or has all that manufacturing returned? because I had no clue.

You were dead wrong.

What do think will happen to prices under the bartender who is pretending to be a statesman when she floods the nation with millions of additional immigrants? I know your feelings are more important than reality. Trump is trying to fix trade imbalances so of course tariffs will have an impact

Yes. I covered that. Now do beef, bacon, butter, and all the chips, cookies, candy, and sodas the low t Trumpers on here consume. Not to mention your precious fast food
