Trump blocks Israeli plan to expand control in Gaza following ceasefire violation | Israel National News
Following a deadly ceasefire breach, Israel sought to seize additional territory in Gaza - but US President Trump vetoed the move.
US President Donald Trump vetoed an Israeli proposal to shift the yellow line in the Gaza Strip and expand IDF control in response to a serious ceasefire violation by Hamas that resulted in the death of Master Sergeant (Res.) Yona Efraim Feldbaum.
In the aftermath of the incident, Israel had planned for the IDF to assume control of the targeted area, contingent on American approval. However, Trump ultimately blocked the initiative.
The decision raised eyebrows in Israel, particularly as it followed Trump’s own remarks in which he appeared to support a strong Israeli response.
“They killed an Israeli soldier. So the Israelis hit back. And they should hit back,” Trump told reporters on Tuesday night, adding, “If Hamas does not behave, they will be terminated.”
Meanwhile, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer is expected to fly to Washington next week to meet with senior US administration officials to discuss advancing the initiative.

Yup, cut all funding to the Middle East, Isreal, literally everywhere.
We need to get our own house in order, the day of reckoning is coming. We started 2025 off at 36.5T in debt and just crossed 38T. We will see massive economic collapse in the very near future and our kids will be left with the worst economic depression since the Great Depression.
WE CANNOT FUND THE WORLD'S bullshite. frick ISRAEL. frick THE MIDDLE EAST.

Israel has universal healthcare and free university tuition
They don't need our money

Damn, I did not know that.
It's amazing what a country can do when they have their entire defense spending subsidized.

Israel has become a problem that needs to be dealt with. I’m glad to see Trump and co. somewhat drawing lines in the sand. It’s Gaza now, but left unchecked their behavior will expand, as will our liability for enabling it.

So now we have to babysit Israel 24/7/365?
Don’t we have enough problems of our own to deal with?

This is Trump trying to look tough and nothing more. Everyone knows Israel has him under control.

Have you read the "20 point plan"? Donald made himself the head of the "Board of Peace" in the region. We're more tied to it now than ever.

When evidence exists that contradicts the narrative you want to believe, just pretend it isn't real.

Trump cant block Israel from doing anything.
They've proved this.
They've proved this.

Except, he did. That's the entire point of the thread.

Israel dont need Trumps approval. See Qatar for the example.

It doesn't really matter. Hamas has already refused the conditions of the "peace deal" and is already publicly balking at the unconditional surrender and laying down its arms.
ETA: And according to a recent poll, Hamas would win an election if held today, and by a decent margin against the presumed frontrunner.

The United Nations kisses Iran's arse. The United Nations despises Israel. So the U.N. saying Israel starved children in Gaza....Is it real or propaganda?
What was it they tried to remove BiBi for, and put in jail?
Is it possible both Israel and Hamas are bad players. So it is a careful struggle for peace?
If BiBi stepped down would a worse PM be chosen?

Most of Europe has had that going for them too.
We need to end all foreign aid. What gives anyone the right to take from their fellow citizens and then give it out to foreign countries?
It ain't right no matter what country it is.

THIS. The more people in that entire region that kill each other the better the world becomes. Let them wipe each other out.
