In an interview on Bloomberg TV Mulvaney hinted at working with the Democrats in terms Wall funding and appropriating Obamacare subsidy funding (to keep it solvent).

Trump wants the wall and Democrats want to keep Obamacare going. We'll see.

Ryan needs to allow Wilber Ross to start NAFTA renegotiations. When and if (a big IF) Ryan approves Wilber's letter of intent to renegotiate NAFTA Wilber will achieve Wall funding through a new NAFTA deal...you can book that. But Ryan is holding things up.

Aint gonna be a wall. Geography works against a wall between Texas and Mexico.

And Trump knew Mexico wasn't going to pay for it because it cannot realistically be built. (And no mental gymnastics from Trumpkins saying eventually through tariffs, etc, Mexico will pay makes any sense.) To even try is dumber than the people who tried a wall in China.

America voted for the wall and to enforce immigration laws.

Paul Ryan needs to get the frick behind that promise or step down from the Speaker post.

I hate this argument. People vote for a candidate, who has a huge collection of views and proposals, some of which are more popular than others.

In addition, we have a limited choice of winnable candidates so people usually see this as a forced choice, so that may not even agree with a lot of their choices views, just more than the other candidate. People also vote for reasons unrelated to policy altogether.

So I'm tired of this argument that because the is candidate won, then everything that candidate proposed was endorsed by every voter who voted for him/her.

And this is an even worse argument. Why even have separate branched of government, with a major purpose of functioning as checks and balances of the other branches if we expect a branch to give into the will of another?

You guys sound scarily similar to the progressive left and their authoritarian arguments.

Uh the wall and enforcing immigration laws was a central tenet if not a major, major driving force behind Donald Trump's entire campaign. The only thing that rivaled it was jobs/economy and ObamaCare. Those three things have to be carried out.

Immigration and the wall, ObamaCare, and jobs/economy was on the minds of all Trump voters on election day.

Legally and constitutionally, you're correct but uh Ryan isn't the head of the Republican party anymore and people voted to give that title to a republican President in Donald Trump.

The GOP's success depends on carrying out what the President campaigned on and promised then and that includes those 3 major campaign promises.

The overall cost to our country as a result of not building a wall would by far exceed the price of building it.

In the primaries it was, but it was not nearly a major focus during the general.

And those were more of a focus on the general.

That's such nonsense. Not only do we have no way of know what was on all 62 million voters minds, we know many people were more against Hillary than for Trump anyways.

No. He's the speaker of the house, in Congress, who has the "purse."
quote:

They voted to give truly the title of President, the leader of the executive branch. It's strange how much you're focusing on their parties, when we are discussing governance, not partisan political parties which has probably worsened governance anyways.

That's nonsense too. Thousands of miles from the border, a wall is not a very hot topic to the GOP in my parts as it is closer to it. So why would the entire GOP depend on an issue that likely varies in importance geographically?

Debt ceiling is a-comin'.

Tea people wont choose wall over holding line on debt.

Tea people wont even bite on trumps 54 billion functional tax increase to pay for additional war toys budget over the current generous increases built in.

Trump needs to rework the healthcare money off your grandparents and the poors down the street so he can pay for war. He may get it past house. Collins ME-R and Portman OH-R, already said no to the first version.

If this mess is unsolved in a month we will go to war. Hes not going take it sitting down all summer recess. He will drag us into a shooting war if he cant get his way talking. Ask him to pay that first billion on the wall. Pony up.

Did you ask the previous administration to pony up any of the 300 billion we sent to Iran?

I didn't think so.

Dude... shut up. The god damn wall will be built and through tariffs, trade deficit renegotiations, deporting the illegal free cheese immigrants, tax on money being sent back to Mexico...will pay for itself. if actually thought Mexico was going to write us a check...then you're a failure.
Here is some liberal fake news, so it's gotta be true

AND, border crossings/attempts are down 50%. frick, it's already paying for itself considering each one of those would have had a negative $ impact on our economy.

I answered iran nuke questions in great detail years ago.

Brief summary
When the germans built nuke plant for iran, israel bombed it to rubble.
Putin sold a Chernobyl style nuke power plant to iran.
I would have blown it to bits long ago.
Guys would have volunteered to fly those missions.
