Michael Cohen said he and President Donald Trump have buried the hatchet.

Trump’s former personal lawyer and fixer testified against the president during his trial involving a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election. Trump, who called Cohen a “liar” at the time, pleaded not guilty to the charges of falsifying business records and denied having an affair with Daniels.

Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison over charges connected to that incident, including campaign finance violations.

But Cohen said on 77 WABC’s the “Cats & Cosby” show that the two men began to reconcile about half a year ago. He told CNN on Monday that the current state of their relationship is “cordial and growing.”

It started with an unexpected text from someone Cohen described as a “White House friend and an insider,” who relayed a message from the president, Cohen said on the radio show. He declined to name the insider, but said the person “expressed to me the president’s genuine empathy for the hell that I was being dragged through, yet again, and I deeply appreciated that text.”

“I thanked him, expressed my sincere hope that this long exhausting feud between the two of us could finally end, and what was, I found, even more interesting is that he replied almost immediately, agreeing that it was actually time for us to meet,” Cohen said, adding he was “very surprised” by the text.

Trump should be careful here. This guy was a terrible lawyer and is likely buttering djt up for a pardon or weaponization settlement money.

I actually agree with you regarding the scumbag Michael Cohen. Trump might have his reason for "reconciling" with this guy, but I would still make sure he is kept outside the circle.

Cohen is definitely dangerous. If Trump doesn’t pardon him, he will probably run to the open arms of CNN/MSDNC and claim Trump tried to extort money for a pardon but he refused. Even if he did pardon him, Cohen might still make the same claim. I’d have a witness and an audio and video recorder running at all times with that putz Cohen.

One of them is definitely going to jab a metaphorical blade in the other's back. After seeing what a tard Cohen is, I bet he plans to be the stabber but will end up knifed in a proverbial ditch.

IMO, when the state of New York went after him, he had to go against Trump, I don't blame him, I don't he wanted to, I saw him on CNN a while back, and he backed Trump on something. You could tell CNN was not happy.

It causes me some concern that a growing number of you appear to actually believe that Trump could care less about Michael Cohen. Trump ain’t dedicating a second’s time towards “reconciling” with him. Now hang tight and take note, I ain’t saying Trump might wouldn’t take a phone call from Cohen, but only if everything lined up just right for Cohen at that particular time. But lol no, Trump ain’t concerned with clearing the air with that guy. What’s a single motivation for Trump, an obviously busy man not exactly lacking in friends, just one specific incentive for Trump to go out of his way like that….?

This guy is an amazing douche... For years I've heard him state he would need to move out of the country to escape Trump - that his own family wouldn't know where he was.

President Trump has met many people, and he's forced to do business with people we'd rather not.

I only write this to say, keep people like this out of your life; they will only drag you down. Life is too short. It's the quality of your friends not the quantity.

The only "connection to that incident" was the offer for a plea bargain on Tax evasion only if he'd also cop to absurd and unprovable campaign finance violations charges in order to sully Trump.

You have to hand it to them though, CNN is going to carry that Democrat water.
