Congress would have to end H1-B and we all know they never will so the Trump admin is fighting it as much as they can without the help of our spineless majority

Bottom line: It doesn't end H-1B visas. It makes them harder to use when an employer has recently laid off Americans or appears to be using the program to cut labor costs.

I'll add in that they need to be tracking who is doing the hiring. In cases where companies are filing under umbrella companies, or just outright under shells.

In North DFW there’s a huge problem with this, once an HB-1 employee gets in a hiring position they only hire their own.
We do them a favor by allowing them to move here, then they immediately turn on us and discriminate against Americans.

We already do. "work locations" that are gas stations filing for database administrators, middlemen like TCS and Cognizant that farm out headcount to corporations like USAA so that it looks like USAA uses almost no H1B labor, all that data is there. Here you can see the 431,691 labor filings by 4,259 employers in 734 job types in Texas ALONE since 2021.

Trump has not done close to enough to halt H1-Bs. Maybe if he didn't spend so much time meddling in other countries affairs....
