JUST IN: It's been confirmed that Trump Accounts can grow to $191,000 THOUSAND dollars from age 0 to 18, and then to over $2 MILLION up to retirement, with the maximum contribution of $5,000 per year

To start,
Trump seed money: +$1,000
Michael Dell: +$250

This will teach American kids about saving VERY early, and the government can't touch this money. You don't even need to make the $5K max to get a huge benefit from this.

Incredible idea. This is how you help the next generation

Incredible for those kids.

Hope they remember that when they get to be voting age..

Wonder what the relevant buying power of $2M will be in 2085 when these kids are retirement age ?

The Dell contribution is for kids that don't qualify for the Trump plan.
The entire concept is outstanding and I hope evry family eligible takes advantage of the opportunity.
quote:

The Dells have committed to seed Trump accounts with $250 for children who are 10 or under who were born before Jan. 1, 2025. According to Invest America, the pledged funds will cover 25 million children age 10 and under in ZIP codes with a median income of $150,000 or less.

“We want to help the children that weren’t part of the government program,” Dell said.

From Grok so TIFWIW

Notably, only one ZIP code in Louisiana has a median household income exceeding $150,000: 71441 (Simmesport area, with $160,101). All remaining ZIP codes (429 total) have a median household income of $150,000 or less. These data points are derived from reliable Census-based rankings and exclude any ZIP codes with high margins of error or populations under 500 for reliability.

Notably, only two ZIP codes in Alabama have a median household income exceeding $150,000: 35213 (Birmingham area, with $161,902) and 35223 (Birmingham area, with $155,079). All remaining ZIP codes (648 total) have a median household income of $150,000 or less. These data points are derived from reliable Census-based rankings and exclude any ZIP codes with high margins of error or populations under 500 for reliability.

The Trump plan is great

Take money from the taxpayer and give it to non taxpayers children in the form of stock market investment to keep the line going up as boomers die off

Why can’t Trump turn taxpayers into batteries to power everybody’s obamaphones like in the matrix

This is misleading.

One $1,000 deposit at birth will be worth a little more than $100,000 assuming compound returns of 8%/year during 60 years.

So what’s not highlighted is a $5,000 per year investment for 30 years in the account. Nor do they mention the assumed returns. Idiots.

With that said, compound interest is great and kids should be taught this early on and often. It’s wonderful!

I liked Bush 43's idea to allow workers to put some small percent of their withholding into investment funds but, it would likely be unrealistic given how strapped SS is for funds.

I like how he just glosses over the almost 100k that needs to be put in the account by someone by age 18 to hit the numbers he's touting by 18.

I mean, I love the idea of the plan, but this post is written for useful idiots to gobble gobble.

"Just in, confirmed!!!" = (Simple annualized math)

Why not just say what the seed investment would become? $1000 for 60 years at the same annualized return of last 20 years of Sp500 would become just over 100k. That's a great return, don't need to run it through the idiot translation machine to make it gain clicks.

If the initial $1,000 were invested in the S&P 500 Index for 60 years the value if this investment could be well over $ 1 million..
I’m assuming a 14% average annual gain and reinvesting the dividends. It’s probable that it would grow to $ 2 million. The power of compound interest is awesome.

Have Trump accounts been confirmed.
If so what are requirements to sign up?

Where is money coming from?

It was initially from all the tarriffs income. But isn’t Trump getting rid of all his tariffs?
