You sure that's not just her first shot at knitting her own hat?

The People's Republic of Austin. It's Portland Oregon with a cowboy hat. Or, in this case a pussyhat.

But County Judge isn't a real judge. It's an administrative office akin to Parish President or mayor.

Sure and a judge can wear a white, pointy hat in court in Prichard,AL. So what if it looks like a klan hat

And Hugo shuts up....silence from the left. Thank you.

Okay, from the link, this is the mission of the pussyhat project.

Doesn't seem like provocative stuff.

Many on this forum complain about the left constantly looking for things to be outraged about. Seems like this criticism is right along a similar mentality.

There may be a couple of newbies that buy the bull shite you are selling right now. But I doubt it.

It doesn't matter that it may be a pussy hat.

It's out of line.

FYI, in the larger Texas counties (such as Travis) the "county judge" doesn't hear cases. Essentially she's like the mayor of the county, but with no more power than the other four members of the Commissioners' Court (which despite its name doesn't hear cases, it's the equivalent of a city council at the county level).

If not disbarred, she should be suspended for a very long time for that. Blatant violation of judicial ethics.

Judges in counties the size of Travis (Austin) have county judges that only preside over the commissioners' court (still not criminal or civil, just a rule-making body).

Smaller counties can have a constitutional judge who is both executive and judge.

Edit: Already been answered at least twice.

not just larger counties, every county has a commissioner's court and the head is called the judge.

it's the county-level version of a city council.

she doesn't hear cases. she is not a 'judge' in the sense anyone here thinks she is.

she leads discussions on county budgets and other county works.

County judges may fill a judicial role in some counties, but it's roughly equivalent to a Justice of the Peace. They may also hear appeals from a J.P. court. In urban counties they usually forgo the judicial duties or assign them out.

is this photo for real? not shopped or altered?

If it is a real photo and that hat was worn during proceedings, I would imagine she has some heat coming down on her.

I just have to think there is much more that goes with this photo.
