I notice our resident proggies haven't weighed in on this one.
Funny that.

Marginal to poor male athelete I guess is a better term.
ESPN did a really interesting 30 for 30 on the tranny tennis player who went from a nothing male competitor to playing professionally in the women's tour.

I learned from a recent commercial about NCAA sports that Athletes have NO Gender, so, I say congratulations to the Sprinter Champion.

I've commented a few times, actually, although I'm hardly a 'resident'

I hope these stories continue. I want all these transgendered boys to win female sports. Everything. Force liberals to see their stupid ways.

You are not supposed to beat girls
Anyways, this is a proud day for equality. If people want equality then this is not a problem. This is a good thing. The segregation of the sexes should stop in sports if it is to be stopped everywhere else.

I hope these dudes smash all the female records
and then we hear about how unfair it was.

Genders don't run track. Athletes do.

Kate Hall — who last year won the girls 100-meter dash Class M state title as a sophomore — came in second to Yearwood at this year’s 100-meter race and was tearful in the aftermath, the Hartford Courant reported. “It’s frustrating,” Hall of Stonington High School told the Courant. “But that’s just the way it is now.”
That's the spirit. Just take it laying down. Don't fight for what you believe is right, because people might call you a bigot and other bad names...

The thing that got me was his/her dad comparing this to when he played linebacker, saying that he was around 225 being blocked by guys who were 350.
I guess he forgot that football positions aren't the same as races. There's one attribute in a sprint - speed. In LB vs OL, there's several factors. He might be bigger, but you'll be faster, etc. Terrible analogy.

Ya, you're not my target audience. They know who they are.

i mean, I wouldn't be able to beat Venus Williams in tennis
Maybe not you personally, but some average/below average professional male tennis player probably could if he suddenly grew his hair out and started wearing makeup
It's all relative, but in the situation in the OP, an average male (compared to the boy's winning time) blew away the reining #1 girl in the entire state

MAybe when enough boys pretending to be girls take enough scholarships and trophies away from girls in competitions, the left will get fed up and stop pretending that this isn't madness. .....
Ok well, that's wishful thinking.

“As her father, I never think about it as competition,” he told the Courant. “This is not about winning and losing races. This is about the health of my teenage daughter. In terms of the fairness aspect, I don’t think about that as a father. I only think about, is my daughter happy, healthy and able to participate in what she wants to do? I don’t care if she wins or loses. I don’t care if she wins and gives the medals back. She got to compete as a girl where she feels she should compete. That’s all that matters to me.”
That's incredibly selfish.
Well men, we've finally reached that point.
I used to believe that progressivism was about the community over the individual. But apparently, progressivism has run so amok that it has come completely full circle and is now about "frick everyone else. It's all about me and my own happiness."

Good. It should do that then.
I am against this whole mess....HOWEVER, this person played within the rules set forth. no reason to give the medals back. As long as someone plays within the rules.....if people don't like the rules, they should not have created the problem. It would be hypocritical for Connecticut to change the rules based on gender.

Either this will happen or they will heap madness upon more madness. Which do you seriously think will happen? Come to their senses...or madness upon madness?

1 of 3 things will happen as we move forward
1) No more "boys" and "girls" teams... all will be "unisex"
2) as more "trans" pop up in the sports world, and some begin to abuse the system girls will lose interest in sports
3) This PC crap comes to a head and we go by XX or XY chromosomes in determining participation
