Here's the other thing that people outside of the industry don't understand: If the truck is moving, it needs to be loaded, especially when the cost of fuel is so high. You need to be taking a load close to where you will get reloaded. So, if we aren't producing things and shipping them out, truckers aren't going to be in the locations to pick up these containers. Savannah doesn't have enough domestic freight coming in, to put trucks in the right location.

This is a national emergency and it is troubling that had this happened on Trumps watch there would have been tearing of sackcloth and nightly screeching about it on the news.

I saw saw today where the Port of Mobile is going to start accepting some of these ships. We have a nice port here that under utilized and central access to the entire US via rail and Interstates.

You will have the same problem in Mobile, that you have at Savannah. You will have to pay trucks to run empty to run to Mobile to pick up. That's going to cost.. a lot.
