The way he said “well he’s dead” is pretty telling. Basically, “my story is what it is and frick anyone who tries to prove otherwise”.

He attempted to give a generalized answer at the beginning then thought that was the end of it. When she brought up that he had continued to have meetings with Epstein he visibly spasmed.
He seemed about to deny it but I think he realized she wasn't going to buy his bullshite so he tap-danced away from it and pivoted to philanthropy. All the while during this part of the exchange he was on-and-off gripping and rubbing his hands with lots of visible pressure.
