"Exposing liberals committing crimes is worse than them committing crimes"

Rational, "moderate" take.

Lawfare! well at least now, not like what they do to Rs

quote:

The alleged offense might sound minor, but it’s a felony that can yield multiple years in prison. In an editorial, The Wall Street Journal argued that Bill Pulte, the Trump appointee who referred all three cases to the Department of Justice, seems preoccupied with using his power as a housing regulator against Trump’s opponents. The Journal called the administration’s actions “an ominous turn in political lawfare.”

Wonder what they said about the '40 felonies' in the 'mortgage fraud' NY case in a case where there were zero victims??

If they were to commit mortgage fraud, they would be committing fraud against the people.

Almost everyone with multiple properties has committed mortgage fraud. It's not about right and wrong it's about what you can get away with.

I’ve owned 2 houses. At time of financing for the 2nd, it was made very clear to me that only one could be my primary residence.

It never occurred to me to try anything shady.

How so? Everyone you know is claiming their rentals to be primary? You obviously hang out with fraudsters.

It’s not lawfare when the scumbags are committing actual fraud. Its fraud.

They certainly didn’t think it’s “worse” when they were doing it to Trump

the mortgage paper work issues are minor. the reason for multiple mortgages is much more interesting as it provides a non traceable vehicle for bribes

Are regular people being charged with this?

If so, how can one justify NOT charging members of the government doing it?

So, it is only important when Trump allegedly does it. Got it.
