Good thing they traded for the assistant to the traveling secretary for the Yankees then.

Musician here... I was forced to get vaccinated for a tour. I don't have a choice. I'm gainfully employed again, for the first time in a year and a half.
It is what it is.

It’s already happening in healthcare. Houston Methodist, Baylor Scott and White, and Ascension are all requiring it now for all employees and vendors.
The company I work for works with all of these hospitals and we are being told we have to comply.
I plan to fight it and request a religious exemption. I just got a 4 page document from my pastor today for it. I haven’t gotten to read it yet to see how he’s addressing it.
If that doesn’t work, I was able to get a vaccination card from a nurse and will upload it to our credential app. I’ve already told my boss how messed up this is and he agrees with me, but his hands are tied.

I look for an attorney to sue them

They already tried with Houston Methodist and the suit was thrown out. I read that they are trying to appeal it.

Good luck. That tried and failed.
I don’t believe it’s good practice for a company to mandate something still under EUA and the FDA still not willing to put their full recommendation behind it. But private companies are allowed to

I pay my cousin to document a file saying I recieved vaccine and paid cash.
Problem solved
Except I don't have a boss

The world needs more artists. No drug/background/Covid check required.

I'm already vaccinated.
So won't be fired.
I think me employer is mandating vaccination by September.

Got the mandate yesterday. Publicly traded corporation and turning woke as can be. Looks like the courts have ruled in their favor so far. At will employment makes it tricky but the TX court’s decision for throwing out the case for the Houston Methodist employees makes no sense. Part of the decision stated that wrongful termination would only apply if the employer was trying to make the employees commit an illegal act which is just dumb. I think their chances on appeal are actually good. I currently have a noncompete agreement which basically runs in perpetuity so I’m interested to see if this mandate helps invalidate that agreement. If so I’m out. This country is turning into China with the quickness.

Is the GOAL here to actually crush the economy?
The labor market is tough right now. Some of my production facilities are in communities with <5% unemployment. The bagel shop down the road from me is paying teenagers $15/hr.
How can companies succeed by creating a new, irrational condition of employment?
Something tells me the swamp is involved, since Walmart has already done this - they must have been given legal assurances already.
It's pure bullshite. Anyone with a brain can see that the jury is out on this vaccine - it doesn't stop sickness or spread and it absolutely comes with real health risks, yet to be determined

All you guys talking about suing don’t realize you are pushing for big government.
When a private entity sets a condition of employment, that is their choice whether you like it or not. That is their right as a private business.
If I required that the sitter who cares for my child must have been vaccinated, do you really want the government to step in and tell me I can’t do that?

My company didn’t mandate the vax. This week, we received a very cleverly crafted email that essentially makes it impossible not to get vaxxed. If you don’t have the vax, you have to wear a mask at all times in the office as well as take a daily COVID rapid test.
Like a good sheep, I will obey. My job pays very well and I have two toddlers at home.
Bahhhhh bahhhhhh bahhhhh *good sheep*

How far will we allow business rights to encroach on human rights? There's also a dynamic at play where business(es) and the gov are colluding.
