Part of me think the vaping craze was started by big tobacco as a conspiracy to get teens hooked on nicotine knowing its worse than cigarettes, then pushing to ban vaping, so then teens will switch to cigarettes. Not many young people smoke cigs so they had to nudge them in that direction somehow because they can’t advertise cigarettes anymore

Yes it must the the lobbying, and not the fact that they provide a needed service that can only be done by someone after years of schooling and training.

Gotta be the lobbying.

Civil asset forfeiture is by far the worst case of this.

The Agriculture Industry in general. Look at the legislation forcing us to squeeze food into our fuel tanks under the guise of “green energy”. A well perpetrated hoax that even the Orange Man won’t tackle.

I wonder who ginned up the vaping "crisis". That seems to have petered out a bit but it just popped up and EVERYBODY had to have a story on it.

smelled like bullshite, I wonder if tobacco had a hand in it somehow

(and I don't have a personal reason tom care one way or the other)

Vaping is causing tons of issues for people that haven’t done it very long, all the while being marketed as a safer alternative to cigs.

They’ll evebtually ban it and then everyone addicted to vaping, needing nicotine, will start smoking

There are the type posts that make me believe I have brothers from other mothers *sarcasm*. I couldn't have said it better myself. Kudos.

Too many government programs are funded by tobacco taxes.

The Louisiana Sheriffs' Association is one of the most powerful lobbies in the state.

I used to hold a fairly prominent position in the tobacco industry. I can state authoritatively that the tobacco lobby in Washington, DC, has been having its arse handed to it on a platter for more than 50 years. That is why the Tobacco Institute and Smokeless Tobacco Council no longer exist.

Not a net benefit, but nicotine has some positive effects. It's neuroprotective. If you can microdose it without fear of craving cigs then it's beneficial.

Wasn't being pedantic and I agree with your point. Just a little-known fact, Normie.
