I don't disagree with you but independents and moderate Dems may vote the opposite just because of the current state of things

I believe the moderate Dems and previously unconvinced Independents woke up to the reality of the left’s craziness leading up to the last election, which produced the shock they all had at Trump’s victory and margin of victory. I think the aforementioned people/groups finally realized how disingenuous and dishonest and malicious the left had become. And once you see it, you can’t unsee it. And from my perspective all the left has done is doubled down on what lost them that election.
I do appreciate the honest and polite discourse with you though, aside from all else.

I voted straight republican last election. I will be voting against many republicans this election.
Except state elections, I'll be voting republican in those mostly. Byron Donalds etc.
Any candidate that is AIPAC backed will be voted against.

As soon as Trump is out of the scene as President I bet you’ll gain your sense back, to some degree at least. Hopefully all, as far as I’m concerned.

There’s no way I’d vote for a D under any circumstances.
But I’m not myopic enough to ignore that the average voter will do the same. Many Trump voters will stay home. Others will switch. shite is not good right now. Orange had a golden opportunity and he wasted on fricking with Iran in the name of the Israelis.

Trump is the only republican president I've voted for since the 2000 election.
And I only voted for him in 2024. I was glad he beat Hillary in 2016 and 2020 was stolen, but I didn't vote for him in those.
I liked Perot in the 90s. Who I think even while losing basically set the tone for the 90s.
I hate neocons, they are just leftists with an R by their name. I've never voted for a democrat, but I will vote 3rd party without any remorse.
I do not vote for the lesser of 2 evils ever.
Both times I voted for a republican president I regretted it. Neither did what they claimed they would do.
But if republicans put up a real conservative in 2028, I'll vote for him. That's all I really want.

Most voters and most especially the sort of voters who make the difference in elections don't have this sort of weird, blind devotion. They care what the party they vote for actually does and does not do. If it keeps its promises, and makes things better for them, they reward it with continued support. If it doesn't, they don't. "It will be so much worse under the other guys" is usually not a winning argument. That was basically the Biden/ Harris strategy, and look how well it worked for them.

I'm not pro-Trump as much as I'm anti-democrat. That's why I can accept his faults without having a breakdown.
I know what democrats stand for, and I want nothing to do with it. I at least get some things I want with Trump.
It's more beneficial to stick with Trump and strive to do better in the future than it is to turn it over to democrats. It's the most practical approach.

Whether or not you and I stay home or vote Dem is largely irrelevant. But NC? They're about to put a popular former Democratic governor in the Senate. Ohio? They're about to send a Democrat back to the Senate that they voted in before.
Here's the thing...all of America doesn't see things the same way you and I do.
