I have cancer and my immune system doesn’t work. Wearing a mask is one of the few things I can try and do to prevent myself from dying. You can say they don’t work but I know they do. I’ve been surrounded by Covid and hospital patients for 3 years now and the only protection I have is from a proper fitted N95. I don’t think I’d be able to fight off a common cold at this point. If you see me wearing 1 in the car it’s because I’m likely going from 1 doctor’s office to another and don’t want to lose the tight, proper fitting. I’ve been in Oklahoma the whole time and everyone has always been super nice about it and I’ve never been given a single negative comment from anyone. I visited my family in DC a few months ago and I was asked why I’m masking on 3 separate occasions in just a week.

What are the symptoms?

I tested positive for it about two weeks ago. Had pretty good chest congestion with cough. Ran fever for 2-3 days. Doc prescribed Mucinex DM for the chest congestion and that was it. If it weren't for the fever, I would've assumed I had a sinus/allergy crap.

Had the same shite in march and pretty much did the same thing, I was out for a total of 2 weeks!
The week I had it and the second week was the recovery week.

“proper fitted N95”

N95’s do work if they are properly fitted.Pretty miserable to wear as I’m sure you’ve found out.
What doesn’t work are cloth masks or surgical masks especially if they’re worn below the nose which is common to see.

That and the constant help of HEPA filtered ventilation 24/7.

Im 100% convinced I had it in January 2020, when it was supposedly impossible for it to be here, yet.

I know I did. I got it January 29th as I flew back from New Orleans.

My family has the bad COVID gene. I’ve had a couple uncles on the vent. Had another uncle that went to assisted living for 2 months got out and died a few months later. 3 uncles have died within a year of having it

Seemed to be worse in darker skinned ethnic groups. My dad passed with COVID, he was half Italian. My mom is German, Czech and pre-1800 poor white American from England. She's has the antibodies, but never any symptoms that would've made her swab.

But my Italian Grandmother rolled through it with some mild nasal symptoms, but I did have her on hydroxychloroquine, zinc, vit D etc. Same for my half Italian uncle. No issues.

They did both have issues after they got the vaccine I warned against. She had a stroke, but fully recovered and he ended up with a heart stent.

I like to add HCQ, but there's the ivermectin and quercitin otc.

Need zinc! All of it needs zinc to really do the job.

Huh. I had chest congestion for almost 4 weeks. Never went to the doctor bc I assumed allergies.

This one’s a nothingburger

I had it a few weeks ago. As usual, it's been around longer than the gov is admitting.

It started off as the normal Corrvid cold. I worked through it. Week two though, sucked. Still worked through it easily, but the throat pain is miserable. You hack up black stuff that just clings to your throat and is extremely painful. A round of steroids and antibiotics knocked it down in two days and like I said, I was able to function normally and work through it, but it was far from pleasant.

My PCP called it an "unspecified viral infection". That told me all I needed to know, and she told me that almost everyone getting Corrvid now ends up having it morph into this "new" thing.
