Liberals in a modern American or Western European context are collectivist and tend to bestow powers to the state rather than the individual.

Fantasy
You’re operating in a parallel universe.
Leftists and liberals back bigger government and over the past 30 years have coalesced power towards the state at the cost of individual rights.
Its objective fact.

His comparison of the concept of natural rights to theocratic authoritarianism is absurd and would be laughed at in high school civics class.
Rights are, by definition, restraints on government power which is the complete opposite of authoritarian measures.

Atheism is the most irrational worldview that one can have.

Is there any doubt left that the democrats are anti-American?

Plus, you don't have to believe in God to think that we have inalienable Natural Rights.
You're invoking the supernatural by definition when you claim there are inalienable rights. Nature doesn't do rights, it just is.

Our rights don’t come from govt permission or laws.
The Declaration of Independence recognizes these are natural rights endowed to us by a Creator. The rights simply exist.
Then the Constitution does not grant or permit us these rights. It simply recognizes them, then goes on to restrict government from regulating or infringing on them.

False dilemma.
They were probably thinking more of Rome and Greece than Jesus or Hammurabi.
But probably all that shite.
After all, they named one house after the senatus or Rome, ad the other house referred to a representative form of government.
What does the Bible say about representative forms of government?

I never denied that. But they don't worship government.
I'm saying that the liberals I know hold individuals - namely themselves - above government, others, religion, community, etc...
In short, I generally find them rather selfish.

I'm betting you don't know any liberals very closely, but you sure seem to have a strong opinion of them.

Well if you think about he’s not wrong.
People only have the rights their government gives them. And any and all of them can be taken away instantly.
If you don’t agree, just look at human history.

John Locke didn’t invent the idea of natural rights. And the previous poster distinguished between natural rights and divine rights, which takes this out of Locke’s liberalism

explain the process for removing an unalienable right.

The process is a government who wants to take them, an army willing to do what’s ordered and enough of the citizenry to agree with them.
Ask the Jews in Nazi occupied Europe
Ask the Russians who suffered under the Bolsheviks and Satlins Russia
Ask millions in China
Hell, ask native American’s in the US
The idea of certain inalienable rights is great and I’m glad we live in a country that currently acknowledges such
But don’t think you are not removed from any government from deciding “frick that” and start taking rights and killing citizens.
Human history is littered with it
