6 years ago? You got him now. Apparently, a past endorsement doesn’t mean he can’t change and circumstances can’t change? fricking nerd.

Tillis was not going to win. He knew he was toast and the Democrats will pick this seat up no matter who the GOP runs. Good riddance! The GOP needs to focus on flipping NH or some other Dem.

I know voting patterns have changed, but over the last fifty years North Carolina has had only a few Democratic Senators, most serving only a single term.

Why do you think the Republicans will lose this seat? Just curious considering the Democratic Party is in disarray.

And just made it much more difficult to get his spending bill passed. Congrats on winning the pissing contest only to lose the battle.

He had an uphill battle for 26 - his approval rating among NC Republicans is pretty low, PLUS he's facing a potential primary vs. Lara Trump, and a general vs Roy Cooper.

Either way, good riddance - except now he has nothing holding him back from going full RINO!

No. If Orange had made that arse quit, Tillis would be voting for the bill.

I don't think you understand what the expression means. Making someone's arse quit means forcing them into submission. This is a big frick you from Tillis to Trump. We can hate Tillis and trash him for his position on the vote, but this is Tillis telling Trump he has zero fricks to give.

If Trump had "made his arse quit" he'd have his vote.

Thillis told colleagues NC would have 600,OOO impacted by proposed Medicaid changes. As written said he'd vote no and not run for re-election. Followed through on it. Close race last time.

It is clear who else is joining him. The NGO money laundering became more difficult, but rest assured he was guaranteed his bag for obstructing appointments and further poisoning the budget bill.
