The data on polio and small pox pretty much speak for themselves, I'd say.

RFK has a standing offer to revise his book with corrected data anytime someone can provide it.

Can you research why this was not done?

I think encouraging people I don’t like to get vaccinated, specifically the Covid vaccine, is a subtle way to ensure I win in the end.

Ouch.

Anti vaccine people are fricking morons.

Agreed and what is so irritating is that they are so smug and confident in their beliefs. It is like they don't realize the whole world mocks and ridicules them.

quote:

Because the anti-vaccine nonsense IS a conspiracy theory.

quote:

Those who believe the garbage that vaccinations cause autism and crap like that are idiots.

quote:

Why are people so frickin stupid. You can have it either way. Get the vaccine and go to school or don’t get the vaccine and go somewhere else that you won’t effect others.

quote:

Why is this news? No one ever bought that shite.... I don't think so atleast and if any parents did then the kids have bigger problems

quote:

Gotta be honest, I'm torn on this one.

I'm a huge proponent of an individual's right to self-determine, but not at the expense of the greater well-being of his classmates.

I blame dumbasses in the right wing conspiracy theory media and old people using facebook for this

It isn't because no one points out his errors that he hasn't revised his book. He wrote an article for Salon back in 2005 and it was corrected multiple times and eventually retracted and he has continued to publish the same false info. He thinks of himself as right despite the identification of factual errors.

Narrow that spectrum down and you will see the numbers take a nosedive. When just being a weird kid came to needing a diagnosis those numbers shot to the moon. The number of people who believe they are autistic these days is laughable.

I believe this is true.

Autism has become the umbrella diagnosis for a lot of normal behavior that people just don't like.

I firmly believe one of the worst things a parent/guardian can do is put a label on their kid. It's a very easy way to opt out of dealing with things. It also teaches the child that they have a problem that can't be fixed. This is not the message you want to send to a kid. They need direction and boundaries. Without that, they will only get worse.

Of course there are truly autistic children and those kids need highly specialized care. We're not really talking about those kids. The majority of people on some form of medication don't really have a disorder. They have poor coping mechanisms.

So in your opinion people undiagnosed by the time they’ve reached their 20’s have adapted to where they wouldn’t need to seek a diagnosis, yet age 26-34 between 2011 and 2022 have skyrocketing diagnosis rates? Where’s the studies showing this? You obviously looked it up, show a link.

Yet the people doing the research just randomly decide not to include older adults for a comparison?

They did.

Now as far as my comment on folks in their 20's or older not seeking diagnosis, that was of course more so in the past but again Im asking if we are seeing an actual rise in cases of autism or just the diagnosis. It would seem that countries with the highest vaccinations rates would correlate with the highest rates of diagnosis of autism if there was a connection. This does not appear to be the case but is there something specific to the vaccines used in the US or are other countries under diagnosing?

RFK's book covers this and sticks to the science. Nobody seems to want to correct RFK's book.

How I know to ignore someone when it comes to a legit medical/scientific debate

Don’t take this the wrong way, but I seriously wonder how some of you guys get dressed in the morning.

I don't think most people would deny the existence of Covid-19 and its variants.

Just that it was as dangerous as was presented.

You’re beyond the fringe with that POV.
Big Pharma is a concern, but that doesn’t mean you should automatically ignore the opinions of dedicated professionals.

There’s too much of this wacko internet crap out there. Conspiracies, everything prior to 2016 is corrupt, etc…

The science of traditional vaccines is pretty sound. However, I simply don't trust Pharma companies, whose profit margin is directly related to the number of sick people, to have any interest in making a safe product. NONE of those companies are trying to "cure" anything, they are only interested in treating symptoms and creating more sicknesses so they can treat more symptoms.

The first place to start would be to have an open and honest conversation with your kid's pediatrician. If all they do is push the schedule and are not willing to hear your concern and work through a modified schedule; they are simply toeing "the company line". Find a new one that will have this conversation.

Our pediatrician strongly believes in all of the vaccines on the list, but the second we showed hesitancy she automatically offered to spread the shots out over a longer period of time. The only request she had from us was to provide her with the school's required chart so she could ensure her files made sure we had those shots "on schedule" while spreading everything out

Only a fool would give more than a few.
Wait till they are older so the brain is further along in development. Space them out as much as possible. I could type a novel, but that’s the cliff notes.

Flu jabs are a money grab.

If we retrospectively evaluated their efficacy, there would be many years that they wouldn’t qualify to be produced as vaccines.

Last year was particularly bad, with some evidence that last year‘s flu vaccine Actually had negative efficacy.
