Well, if you are looking for hilarity in the situation, cnn last night with a 7 person panel was high comedy. Absolute cataclysmic melt with half of them repeating that they are almost afraid to go outside each morning because the world is such a scary place due to trump’s tweets.

You can’t reason with that level of insanity.

I really don't know why y'all focus so much on the media. The media is about making money, and right now, outrage and fear is the biggest seller.

There’s no master plan or genius behind the madness. Didn’t he say he was gonna surround himself with all the best people? And how many of these same great people is he on the outs with after just a year in office? Hes not the genius you guys try to make of him. He’s playing you.Tell me you haven’t noticed how condescending he is to his supporters knowing they’ll swallow anything.

Travel ban has exactly zero to do with national security. It's pandering to a xenophobic electorate.

Bruh, FT and Bison don't count. Partisan hacks don't count.

Most middle of the road Americans are now talking about CFB, NFL, and the weather...not this bullshite.

what does Trump lose by acting polarized? nothing. he's not converting any progressives to his cause regardless

this is simple strategic, risk-reward assessmsent

So it's okay if he does it all in his own self-interest of risk reward and frick putting the country first? Ok

The funniest is when the "serious" people get so outraged at a tweet, they respond with something super grounded and astute like "frick you".

You're absolutely right. Obama never said shite cause he was spineless. Trump on the other hand...

...is a malignant narcissist who has to respond to everything because of his frail ego.

Obama had a spine. He didn't really feel like it was necessary to respond to every single Morning Joe there is

What is your definition of putting the country first? His policies are quite literally about the US first over the world.

North Korea is opening up communications with Seoul today. I don't care if what he says is inappropriate or not. He has put pressure on the region to take action. And he's not letting Kim go unchecked. Hopefully he does this with Iran too.

Show us a politician that isn't one of these. They all are. That is the trait of the ruling class. You know this

it's a standard from the past because now direct communication between political face and the pleb class is widespread, easy, and cheap.

If the POTUS made such unwise public comments after debate and careful consideration behind closed doors, people would think he's absolutely insane. The argument repeated in this thread is that Trump's tweets are inconsequential because they're just that, tweets.

The method of communication is not a problem. The I'll-advised content of the communication is the crux of the problem.

You can call it democratization of the Presidency, but it is really a skilled politician bloviating to satisfy an electorate that is incapable of understanding what needs to be done to advance the interests of the country.

Using instability and stirring up hate for the other side is a Russian propaganda tactic not an American government tactic. It's one thing to try to get people on your side because they your voter base or even fulfill your mandate to them but to viciously attack and rile up the American public is to create a rift
