It's sad Obama didn't have the willingness to feign strength when dealing with Iran.

I'm personally aware of several instances where his travel ban (as first announced by Tweet!) has postponed/cancelled vacations, sales meetings, conference presentations, and in one case, caused a US citizen to move his family to another country where he holds dual citizenship. Is that day-to-day enough for you?

So what? National security often requires modest and temporary inconveniences. Only pussified, self centered, egotistical, poofters would have a problem with it. Just my opinion..others may feel differently.

I know the buttons are shiny, but we were talking about NoKo.

Half are faking it. Half are lemmings and actually have bought it and believe it in their core.

All are pathetic.

If you think what I said was an attempt to confuse you, we should probably stop now

Was it irresponsible when Obama told NoKo that he would not hesitate to use America's military might to defend SoKo?

We’re talking about Trump right now, not Obama. Just because I don’t agree with Trump doesn’t mean Im all in on Obama. Any rational person in a candid moment will admit it was an irresponsible tweet, Trump supporter or not. The fact that people are defending this amazes me. I feel more people should trash that partisan shite and think for themselves.

Well, Damone and I disagree with your opinion in regards to NoKo

It's starting to seem like Trump has earned some loyalty from the GOPe cucks. I'm probably speaking way too soon though.

Not a single solitary drop of loyalty to anything does the GOPe have. Not for Trump, voters, or anyone. They are a group of political and administrative conmen out for #1 and nothing but.

Never start to think they are coming around. They hate Trump with every fiber of their being. If he died in office, they'd resist even doing a state funeral.

Why was it irresponsible? Do you think Kim would launch whatever rinky dink rockets he has because Trump tweeted something? Would it have been different if the thoughts came from Trump's mouth instead of his Twitter account?

Fact. They know Trump owns the GOP voter base, so they won't dare cross him.

and try not to glorify idiocy

And what result has the last 4 US Presidents(do it by the book) brought to the Korean peninsula? Its gotten worse no?

And why do you think this was totally not planned? That no intel shows that he shrinks from strength. That he and his regime are close to being overthrown. That intel doesn't show a worry by his inner circle to Kim and his threats and DJT is helping to sow seeds of doubt?

I don't have access to the briefings or strategy sessions so I'm just spitballin. But all of those who call DJT a idiot usually end up on the floor watching him walk on by.

Because he's an unhinged irresponsible actor on the world stage, but with no real power or leverage. Why appease someone like that? It makes much more sense for the US to operate from a position of strength and treat Kim and his country like the jokes they are.

The funny thing is that these are the same people who will call you a Puritan prude for not enjoying profanity and sex in every form of media. Then they turn around and suddenly become awfully prudish about language when trump tweets something they don’t consider dignified enough. This is their own progressive ideology in action upon society, shouldn’t they be happy? What else did they expect?

while I agree with this, it is the antagonistic ways in which Trump does it that I believe rubs people the wrong way

note* I do not believe Trump would say what he says without good intel that Noko won't do anything

No, it would be just as irresponsible. It’s the content, not the vehicle. Maybe I didn’t make that clear

I think he has some power, otherwise we wouldn't be having this discussion.

But I think that not responding is not appeasing. Ignoring this clown would eliminate what Kim wants - attention and room for talks for more money.

Usually an upvote will do, but this needs to be repeated! How do people not understand that Trump's twitter no longer garners the same irrelevance as a game show host? He's the f'ing POTUS!

what you are witnessing is the democratization of the government, especially the Presidency

i don't know why people who support science and tech refuse to admit the implications of its widespread use

"acting Presidential" is an anachronism from a time when the plebs relied on filtered messages through connected middlemen (politicians and media, primarily). it was important to garner the support of these middlemen, who then distributed the information to the plebs to support/attack the political face. it's a standard from the past because now direct communication between political face and the pleb class is widespread, easy, and cheap.
