This thing is far more widespread, and far less deadly than we “know” now

It’s a perfect storm for hysteria.

We have only seen the tip of the iceberg on cases because of lack of tests. When it all shakes out, I could see 1/3 or more showing they had it.

Deaths will be overrated by a frickton. You die in a car wreck and a blood sample shows you had the virus (but no symptoms): Covid death.

I’m exaggerating in that, but comorbities are not being reported worth a shite. People are just accepting that all the deaths are simply due to the virus.

Trump is doing a lot of good, but he’s losing the messaging battle. Own goals like the ventilator thing last night don’t help.

Not sure if he could do anything about it. Media has their flamethrower and and full tanks, all abetted by a shitload of soccer moms at home going out of their damn minds from a combination of canon fever, social media, and 24/7 kids.

We’re doomed.

His approval ratings both for the crisis and overall are good and on the incline.

So, what else are you talking about here?

Turn on CNN or Fox for 2 seconds and the world is ending. "If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed."

You are seeing in real time, why libs pushed for maximum testing when this first blew up. They knew the case count would explode and they'd use this against Trump. Now, we have assholes like Morning Joke prancing around on social media, celebrating the US's position at #1 in confirmed cases.

This is exactly what they did to increase the Porto Rico hurricane death count. If someone died in a car crash driving to the store for building materials; hurried death. What will be interesting is when they look at the total fatalities for 2020 from all sources and compare it to prior years. My guess is we see zero difference and probably even less as people were less mobile.

Couldn’t agree more...

We have no way of telling how many are asymptomatic, thus increasing the amount infected, which will then decrease the mortality rate.

There is no way to efficiently calculate how many are actually currently infected, or have recovered...

Worse, they are ruling every single death in hospitals as Covid related "just to be safe".

I have been told people like you are in total denial and a troll. You cannot use stats or comparisons against flu, etc... we are all doomed.

Yep, we are doomed. Dead men walking.

That is exactly what is happening. I saw a guy who died from his lawnmower tipping over get classified as a Covid 19 death. Honest and for true.

That explains why the Hollywood crowd was telling the snowflakes to stay home, even if they weren't sick. Why would they bother getting tested. Numbers are totally manipulated.

This thing is something we need to get a handle on. There growth rate is likely higher than suggested and the death rate this is lower.

But you decrease one number and increase the other number and it could still mean same number of deaths.

New York needs to keep doing what they are doing.

We need to ramp up production of medical equipment to meet the need. We are doing this.

Let's figure out this situation a bit. What we have right now is the only thing we know for sure is that China lied about this stuff.
